The taste of Southwest US comes to Portman Village

Portman Village is fast becoming a real foodie destination with cuisines from around the world available in the many restaurants here. The latest addition to the Village is The Lockhart, due to open in June on Seymour Place.

Blending the vibrant flavours of American Southwest Cuisine, US twists on classics such as lobster nachos, house smoked pork belly, and black bean enchiladas can be found on the menu. Chef Andrew Justice reached the quarter finals of Master Chef Professionals in 2010 and heads up the team of chefs at this new restaurant. Though the food is US inspired, the ingredients are local and seasonal to ensure maximum freshness and quality. “We aim to source as much of our menu as possible from local suppliers,” says Andrew. This includes everything from free range chickens to buffalo fillets and responsibly sourced fresh fish. British cheeses are also present on the menu, with a fantastic range from mozzarella to blue.

To accompany this mouth watering food are a selection of signature cocktails, courtesy of Eddie “Lucky” Campbell, a well known Texas mixologist.

Portman Village welcomes Daisy Green

If you’ve read the Spring copy of The Villager you will already know that Daisy Green is set to open in Portman Village in early April, just in time for Spring and Summer.

Daisy Green is a cool, fun and happy cow best known for her delicious, healthy and zero fat gourmet frozen yogurt. Using only the freshest milk, live cultures and a hint of natural cane sugar-this deliciously light and guilt free frozen yogurt looks set to be a great addition to the Village. Toppings available include balsamic strawberries, Aussie style rocky road and delicious caramelised bacon- yum!

Although frozen yogurt is Daisy Green’s speciality, gourmet coffee is also available as well as a selection of zingy salads and healthy dishes that will change daily. A fabulous secret downstairs garden (with heating) makes this space an ultra chic hangout in the Village for all health enthusiasts.

Daisy Green will open on the 5th April at 20 Seymour Street, Portman Village, W1.
